He's here!!!

Wow what a crazy few months! I gave birth Monday 16th July 2018, it's now Sunday 3rd March 2019. Time flies when you have a baby! We've moved, bought a house and everything in just under 8months! More about that in my later blog... ~ Going back now to 15th July 2018 ~ I have been on 75mg of Aspirin since week 12 of my pregnancy to bring my blood pressure down. From week 37 my blood pressure spiked and I was put on labetalol to bring my blood pressure down even further. I ended up going on Maternity leave early from work as I was knocked out every time I took a pill! So already my birth wasn't going to plan! So with my pelvic girdle pain and high blood pressure I was admitted to hospital for weekly checks. I went to hospital on Friday and they found my blood pressure to be slightly higher and they found protein in my urine. My bloods were checked but they didn't find any issues. I was sent home and asked to come back in Monday and they would talk about inducing me

36+3 Weeks Pregnant

Image
I am now over 36 weeks pregnant, I'm getting closer and closer to the finishing line. Reading other peoples blogs and comments on all the different forums, getting more and more nervous for D-Day! So many horror stories, but many beautiful stories too. After being a vegetarian for over 6 years, I had a huge craving for meat. I finally caved and went to McDonald's, ordered everything on the menu. My husband was very worried and thought I'd be sick instantly! But I felt amazing, for the first time in over 14 weeks I felt good with no sickness. So from that point, I knew I was having a boy! Josh's grandad was a games keeper in the North so his dad's family would have meat most nights. So no suprise this little one wanted meat too! I tried all the veggie alternatives from Quorn to Linda McCartney and Holland and Barrett vegan food. But nothing made me feel better, one night after my Quorn sausages I threw them up and sat by the loo defeated and ill. So I am glad I fin

I'm pregnant!?

Madness, I thought I was pregnant so I took a test (a cheap one from Tesco) and it hasn't changed. So I threw it in my bedroom bin. For the next few days, I felt.... different. I knew something was up. I took the test out of my bedroom bin 3 days later and bought it into the kitchen and held it under the clinical light. I could see a very faint pink line and had to ask my husband if he could see it too. He said he guessed so? We rushed to Tesco and he bought the most expensive electronic pregnancy test money could buy! It said to test in the morning as this is when the hormone levels are strongest. Since we had paid alot of money for this test, we decided to wait until tomorrow. I woke up at 6am on the Saturday. My husband was still fast asleep, I sneaked out of bed and decided to test it on my own. I waited and the little screen just said loading, felt like an hour (but in reality was only 3mins) then there it was "Pregnant 1-2" I stood there silently in the bathroom

A very hard week

Image
It's been over 3 years since I last wrote my blog. Alot has happened, I'm now married! I live with my wonderful husband Josh in our dream flat (rented, but we are saving up!!) I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I've also been on so many adventures this year, Paris, Amsterdam and soon India!! But this last week has been the hardest week, I've experienced in a very long time. I am the very proud owner of 5 guinea pigs, people call them giant hamsters but they have waaaaay more personality than people realise. If you are a guinea pig owner then you know what I'm talking about. If not, let me tell you. They do recognise your voice and even your footsteps! They squeak and popcorn (which means they run and jump, throwing their little bodies in the air with joy) they live for many years depending on their health and lifestyles. I had a lovely couple of guinea pigs called Pickle and Marmite, they were adorable little girls. Pickle is the little grey pig an

Christmas

What a lovely Christmas :) got a 3DS with Pokémon!! I have already completed it, I highly recommend it, it's way better than the last few games... Also visited Munich in Germany and  Salzburg in Austria. Beautiful counties, amazing markets, full of yummy smells and flavours. Although, the Germans do love their meat.... Would you like sausage with your sausage? They did have one  vegetarian restaraunt me and my nan went to which was delicious!! Oh yeah I went to Germany with my nan, it was awesome, everyone kept mistaking her for my mum! But yes a very enjoyable trip, I really enjoyed the old markets, I bought a stamp and sealing wax with my initials on SP and it works so well!! I feel rather game of thronsey!! I haven't the patience To read books, my eyes always wonder to any interesting words on the next page so I end up reading a snippet and getting confused. So my friend is reading the game of thrones books and giving me updates >:) I don't think I have written a b

London Comicon!

I Haven't' written in a while but I have been rather busy with life and things. I went to London Comicon :L  Here is a picture of us dressed as the Kick Ass Crew,  I went with my Brother (Kick Ass) Josh (Red Mist) Dad (Big Daddy) ! It was a really enjoyable day, the costumes were amazing, people did keep running up to us with free hug signs. My dad was really funny, my family doesn't really hug or kiss so when screaming 14 year old girls were running up to him and hugging him, it was priceless :L The akward *Pat Pat* on the back sort of hug. The weeks been good, fully trained on waste water calls now, woooo now i'll be dealing with the real shit (No pun intended). I put my name down to be "On Call" I thought oh yes brilliant, being paid to be on call, so if they don't call me I still get paid! No. I am sat by the phone worrying all day and all night waiting for the dreaded call, I can be called in any time of day/ night. From Friday 11pm - Sun Mor

My First Blog

I have decided to start writing a blog about my life, I can not promise it will always be interesting, but its more for me than it is for you ;) So....I have been reading Bridget Jones "Mad about the Boy" the last book in the series, its very sad and I have been reading it at work to pass the time. The only thing is when I get to a sad bit I usually get a call so I have to stop welling up and answer the call!  Working at the vets has opened my eyes, I didn't really know what to expect, I just thought "Well I love animals and I always watch those animal rescue shows, it'll be great!" How wrong I was, it was a culture shock and the first few weeks I really didn't think I could last. Its better now, some of the things I have seen I wish I could un-see......Animals don't know your helping them or injecting them for their own good, so they cower when you open their kennel doors :C But its very interesting, I haven't decided if I want to bec
